The energy and enthusiasm of six Q&amp;As and multiple sold-out shows was palpable, and we really appreciate your support.<\/p>\n<p>Two of last weekend&#8217;s most popular\u00a0speakers will both return on Saturday, December 10: author Alan Light with <strong><em>Hallelujah- Leonard Cohen, A Journey, A Song<\/em><\/strong> and Dr. Gabriel Sara with <em><strong>Peaceful (De Son Vivant)<\/strong><\/em>. Please\u00a0consult our website that week for precise showtimes.<\/p>\n<p>While continuing this weekend with our engagements\u00a0of <em><strong>Hallelujah<\/strong><\/em>, the hypnotically mysterious <em><strong>Memoria<\/strong><\/em> and the definitive\u00a0WW2 Jewish Partisans documentary <em><strong>Four Winters<\/strong><\/em> from filmmaker Julia Mintz, we&#8217;re adding two\u00a0new titles:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7116 size-medium alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/newplazacinema.org\/test_area\/staff_materials\/tickets\/test_area\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Bardo-False-Chronicle-of-a-Handful-of-Truths-Poster-227x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"227\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths<\/strong><\/em>: Two-time Oscar winning director (<em>Birdman, The Revenant<\/em>) Alejandro G. Inarritu has concocted his most ambitious film to date,\u00a0the phantasmagorical journey of a Mexican journalist\/ filmmaker \u2014 perhaps a stand-in for the director himself\u00a0\u2014\u00a0whose personal crises take him on a border- and boundary-crossing journey through dreams, history and confounding reality.\u00a0Comparisons to <em>Fellini&#8217;s 8 1\/2<\/em> are, I suspect, welcome but Inarritu has his own prodigious style and is haunted by his nation&#8217;s tragic history.\u00a0The <em>NY Times<\/em>&#8216; A. O.
